Knowing that the site fell in a Conservation Area we knew that a sympathetic design solution would be required. We provided the proposed plans and included a “Design & Access Statement” (DAS), a Heritage Statement and an Ecological Report.

We were flabbergasted when the local authority, BCP Council refused the scheme as we were certain of an approval.

We felt strongly that this scheme would be won on appeal and advised the client to appeal the decision and were vindicated and elated when the appeals inspector made the correct decision and allowed the scheme to go ahead with an approved planning application.
