Planning Application Appeal Approved

A little snapshot of our planning applications services at RIBA Stage 3 Plan of Work:

Knowing that our client’s site in Glenferness Avenue, Bournemouth is located in a Conservation Area, we proposed a sympathetic design solution and submitted our drawings package with a “Design & Access Statement” (DAS), a Heritage Statement and an Ecological Report as part of our planning application services which we submitted on the Planning Portal on behalf of our client. We were flabbergasted when the local authority, BCP Council refused the scheme as we were certain of an approval.

We felt strongly that this scheme would be won on an Appeal and advised the client to appeal the decision and were vindicated and elated when the appeals inspector made the correct decision and allowed the scheme to go ahead with an approved planning application.

The planning application was lodged in February 2023 and the appeal was allowed (GRANTED) 10 months later in December 2023.

The moral of the story is not to give up :0)
